Project Engineering Administrator - R&D (PLM / Change Management)

Location: Acton, MA (Hybrid/Remote Flexibility)

Pay: Up to $60/hr

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineering Administrator to support R&D through ownership and execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth product development, launch readiness, and ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Own and manage engineering change orders (ECOs, PCOs, QCOs, etc.) from initiation through approval and release
  • Author, route, and track change orders to ensure timely approvals and completion
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to align changes with project timelines and production needs
  • Maintain PLM system data, including bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, and product configurations
  • Support Design History File (DHF) documentation and ensure traceability
  • Identify risks to timelines and proactively drive resolutions
  • Assist with Part Approval Plans (PAPs) and documentation for development and production builds



Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience with PLM systems and engineering change management
  • Experience in a cross-functional product development environment
  • Strong understanding of design controls, configuration management, and QMS
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion



Preferred:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience in FDA-regulated or medical device environments (ISO 13485, etc.)
