The Opportunity

Our Total Rewards team is looking to add a Team Lead, US Pension & Benefits to support our US retirement and benefit programs. This position will report to the Manager, Pension and Benefits.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end administration of US employee benefit and retirement programs, including health, dental, vision, life, pension, 401(k), share purchase and other ancillary plans

  • Oversee the annual benefits renewal and enrollment process

  • Work closely with external consultants, vendors, committees and other internal stakeholders to design and evaluate plans, lead vendors, support change implementation and monitor effectiveness

  • In collaboration with the Manager, Pension and Benefits, lead the development and execution of effective communication strategies to educate employees on TC Energy's plans and drive high participation rates

  • Ensure all pension and benefit plans and policies remain compliant with applicable federal and state regulations

  • Analyze utilization trends, claim data, and employee feedback to identify opportunities for program enhancements, promotion and education

  • Lead, in conjunction with the Manager, Health Services and Manager, Pension & Benefits, the development and execution of the organization's wellness strategy and programs for the US

  • Manage and develop a small pension/benefits team of professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance management

  • Participate in industry benchmarking and professional networks to stay abreast of market trends and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ Years' of relevant experience in U.S. employee benefits and retirement programs, or equivalent

  • 2+ Years' of experience leading and developing employees is preferred

  • Bachelor degree or greater

This position may require occasional business travel to Canada
