Summary: Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) is seeking a highly sophisticated, operationally-focused executive to serve as the Director, Practice Operations for the PresNow network. This role is critical to the success of PHS's innovative, integrated Emergency Department and Urgent Care (ED/UC) business model.
The Director, Practice Operations will be the primary architect of "Standard Work," leading the analysis, planning, and implementation of new business processes. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires a blend of strategic tactical planning, rigorous financial oversight, and a commitment to the Baldrige-based Quality Work System that defines PHS's operational excellence.
Job Description: The Director, Practice Operations is responsible for the daily operations and financial performance of designated PresNow sites. This role leads cross-functional teams to ensure that clinical and clerical workflows are synchronized, throughput is maximized, and financial outcomes are met. The Director serves as a key collaborator with Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG), Hospital leadership, and Service Line executives. Key Responsibilities:
Operational Architecture: Analyzes and implements new business models and "Standard Work" to ensure consistency across the PresNow network. Throughput & Utilization: Collaborates with Quality Management and Care Coordination to achieve optimal patient flow and resource utilization. Financial Accountability: Owns the financial outcomes for assigned areas, including budget development, FTE planning, and revenue cycle integrity (charge capture and denial management). Customer Loyalty: Deploys the "customer loyalty bundle" and uses the "voice of the customer" to improve daily operations and patient-centric care. Clinical Focus: Partners with Medical Directors to define and enforce clinical outcome measures and patient safety protocols. Compliance & Advocacy: Directs compliance with regulatory agency standards and serves as a liaison/advocacy link between outpatient and inpatient services.

Leadership Experience: 5-10 years of progressive management experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a track record of leading large-scale practice operations. Strategic Execution: Proven ability to lead cross-functional strategic and tactical planning sessions. Financial Mastery: Strong experience in operational and capital budgeting, revenue cycle management, and charge master maintenance. Change Management: Expert at "championing continuous improvement" and overcoming organizational barriers to achieve departmental goals.
