CDL Driver 85% Driving and 15% warehouse Sarasota, FL Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour 26-03817 Job Summary The CDL Driver (Class B required, Class A preferred) is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of pipe, fittings, and related materials using a 26-foot flatbed truck or pickup with pipe rack. This role involves regional driving routes within approximately 1-2 hours of the distribution site, along with limited warehouse support activities such as loading and unloading materials. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to safety, and the ability to operate independently while representing the company professionally at job sites. Job Responsibilities Operate 26-foot flatbed trucks or pickup trucks with pipe racks to deliver materials to job sites Safely transport pipe, fittings, and accessories while ensuring proper load securement and compliance with weight limits Communicate with job site customers to confirm delivery details and validate directions prior to arrival Deliver materials according to scheduled timelines and obtain customer signatures upon completion Verify accuracy of delivery documentation, including tickets, packing lists, and return materials Pick up customer returns and verify items against credit requests Collect local pickup orders and ensure proper handling and documentation Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the workday regarding delivery status and issues Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety requirements Fuel and maintain assigned vehicles as needed Represent the company professionally at all customer locations Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed in warehouse or job site settings Support additional operational tasks as assigned by branch management Maintain accurate records and ensure all delivery documentation is properly completed and returned Job Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required (Class A preferred) Minimum of one year of experience operating the applicable class of commercial vehicle Must meet DOT requirements, including non-excepted interstate self-certification Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to use a smartphone for communication, navigation, and delivery updates Ability to safely secure and transport materials within weight and safety limits Ability to assist with loading and unloading materials as needed Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions accurately Clean driving record and ability to comply with company safety policies Willingness to work overtime as needed #ZR
