The Janitor / Cleanroom Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment across manufacturing and cleanroom areas. This role ensures all cleaning activities meet company standards as well as regulatory and contamination-control requirements critical to cleanroom operations.

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of manufacturing floors, offices, restrooms, and common areas
• Execute specialized cleaning procedures within cleanroom environments in accordance with established protocols (e.g., gowning, material handling, contamination control)
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment, walls, ceilings, and floors using approved cleaning agents and methods
• Follow strict cleanroom procedures, including proper gowning, entry/exit protocols, and use of PPE
• Dispose of waste, including standard and controlled materials, in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines
• Restock cleaning supplies, PPE, and consumables in designated areas
• Maintain cleaning logs and documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and external audits
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or contamination risks to leadership
• Support periodic deep cleaning, shutdown cleaning, and audit preparation activities
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year of janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment
• Knowledge of cleanroom protocols (ISO classifications, contamination control) is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain documentation
• Comfortable working in controlled environments requiring PPE and gowning
• Experience working with polishing/waxing/scrubbing machinery is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Ability to follow strict procedures and compliance requirements
• Reliability and consistency in completing routine tasks
• Basic understanding of safety and chemical handling
• Team-oriented with good communication skills

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in cleanroom environments, including wearing full PPE for extended periods
• Comfortable performing repetitive cleaning tasks

• Combination of office, manufacturing floor, and controlled cleanroom environments
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and materials (with proper PPE)
• May require flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on production needs
