Under the direction of senior management, the Director of Group Banking owns the strategy, execution, and growth of MidFirst's Group Banking Program. This role drives employer adoption, increases employee participation, and grows the Program portfolio through strategic partnerships, employer engagement, and high impact events. Success is measured by sustainable Program growth, employer retention, and the effectiveness of outreach and engagement efforts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

I. Program Development and Ownership



  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and Program owner for the Group Banking Program.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Retail Product Management to align Program offerings, messaging, and materials with growth objectives.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reporting, and system documentation related to employer participation.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance Program structure, offerings, or delivery based on employer and employee feedback.


II. Employer and Business Development




    • Proactively identify, prospect, and engage target employers to build and maintain an ongoing, qualified pipeline that expands Program adoption.
    • Lead employer conversations, presentations, and onboarding efforts from initial outreach through enrollment.
    • Employer Engagement and Events
    • Coordinate onsite presentations, enrollment support, and employersponsored events to increase employee participation and utilization of Program offerings.
    • Plan and host engagement events that strengthen employer relationships and reinforce Program value.


    III. Sales Enablement and Internal Education



    • Develop and deliver Program-specific training, tools, and guidance that enable internal sales partners to effectively identify opportunities, position the Program, and generate referrals.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and Program updates to ensure consistent positioning.


    IV. Reporting and Administration



    • Oversee Program administration with a focus on disciplined execution, consistency, and accountability.
    • Prepare management insights and performance reporting to support leadership review and strategic planning.



    Position Requirements



    • Three or more years of applicable program and business development and demonstrated experience delivering professional presentations to employer, community, or business audiences. Banking, financial services, or equivalent sales/relationship management experience preferred.
    • Associate's degree required (bachelor's degree preferred).


    The ideal candidate will possess:



    • Proven consultative sales or relationship management skills, with the ability to influence decisionmakers and build longterm employer partnerships.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    • Ability to learn and use new banking systems.
    • Ability to travel periodically to meet with employers and banking center personnel, typically 2-3 days primarily in the Oklahoma City area.
