Job Description:

Amplify is seeking full-time Lead Professional Learning Specialists, Bilingual Literacy, with backgrounds in teaching, coaching, and/or school leadership to join our Professional Development team and make a nationwide impact on educators and students.

Our bilingual Lead Professional Learning Specialists (Lead PLS) facilitate high-quality professional development across two complementary literacy programs (one English, one Spanish) for teachers and school leaders. In this role, you will ensure educators feel confident implementing Amplify programs to drive student success.

Lead PLS also coach and support a cohort of approximately 20 bilingual Professional Learning Specialists (PLS) to deliver exceptional professional development throughout the year. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality PD delivery that drives shifts in teacher practice, increases effective use of Amplify products, and ultimately improves student learning outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities:

Professional Development Delivery

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in two complementary Amplify Literacy programs (English and Spanish) and associated professional development offerings

  • Deliver remote and onsite professional development approximately 2 days per week to groups of 30-40 educators throughout the year

  • Adapt facilitation to meet the unique needs and contexts of customers

  • Track and complete all session logistics and deliverables in a timely manner

Ongoing Personal Learning

  • Participate in paid certification training delivered in both Spanish and English to become a certified Professional Learning Specialist (if not already certified)

  • Engage in ongoing professional development, including observation, feedback, and coaching, to continuously improve facilitation practice

Coaching & Team Leadership

  • Coach a cohort of ~20 bilingual PLS through best practices, including observation/debrief cycles, modeling, peer practice, and written and live feedback

  • Design and implement targeted development plans based on observations, customer feedback, survey data, and reflection

  • Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new PLS throughout the year

  • Regularly review post-session survey data (daily during peak season: May-September) to identify trends and provide actionable feedback to PLS

  • Communicate key insights regarding individual and cohort performance, needs, and challenges to relevant stakeholders

  • Share observations of customer engagement with Amplify products, including strengths and areas for improvement, with product teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience teaching Pre-K-Grade 12

  • 2+ years of experience coaching educators in Pre-K-Grade 12 settings

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience applying them in professional development contexts

  • Deep knowledge of instructional best practices in literacy, math, or science aligned to rigorous grade-level standards in English and Spanish

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate onsite and virtual professional development in both English and Spanish

  • Strong proficiency with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and respond effectively in real time to customer needs in both languages

  • Strong time management skills across multiple priorities

  • Spanish fluency at ILR Level 4 or higher (speaking, reading, and writing)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience coaching or training educators using an Amplify program

  • Experience working with diverse student populations (English learners, SPED, Gifted/Talented, etc.)

Additional Information:

Travel

Travel is an essential function of this role. Travel is expected at approximately 60% or more during the summer season (May through September) and 20-40% during the school year. Travel includes overnight stays and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation, sometimes with limited advance notice.

All travel-related expenses are initially paid by the employee (e.g., lodging, meals). Reimbursements, including mileage and eligible travel time compensation, will be processed 2-3 weeks after expense submission.

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $95,000 - $105,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
