Role Description & Responsibilities:

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic business partner to functional and operational leaders, providing financial insights, analytics, and decision support that drive performance and profitability. This role goes beyond traditional reporting to proactively influence strategy, optimize resource allocation, and translate data into actionable business recommendations.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with advanced analytical capabilities and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilitiies:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business unit leaders, supporting strategic planning and operational decision-making
  • Partner with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans aligned with company objectives
  • Provide financial guidance on pricing, investments, cost optimization, and growth initiatives
  • Challenge assumptions and offer data-driven recommendations to improve business outcomes
  • Support leadership with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for key strategic initiatives

Business Analytics & Insights

  • Develop advanced financial and operational models to analyze performance drivers and profitability
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through deep analysis of financial and operational data
  • Create dashboards and KPIs that enhance visibility into business performance
  • Conduct variance analysis and clearly communicate root causes and corrective actions
  • Leverage data visualization tools and analytics platforms to improve reporting and insight delivery
  • Translate complex data into concise executive-level insights and presentations

Performance Management

  • Lead recurring business reviews and performance discussions with stakeholders
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Drive accountability through performance tracking of measurable financial targets
  • Continuously improve financial processes, analytics capabilities, and reporting automation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5-8+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business analytics, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior business leaders
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel expertise
  • Experience with ERP systems and planning tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, KPI development, and performance metrics
  • Ability to work with large datasets and synthesize insights quickly
