Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Access Control in Letart, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in support of access control and other security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter access points, noting conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Support screening and restricted-area access processes for employees, vendors, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activity at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
