Title: Psych Health Aide Location: Savannah, GA 31406 Mode: Onsite Pay rate: $20.00-24.00/Hr. on W2. Duration: 3 Months Work /Schedule: 3x12-Hour 7:00pm-7:30am-7:00am-7:30p Job Description: Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs. Role & Responsibilities: Answers clients call signals Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse Bathes, grooms, shave and dresses clients Conducts activities for recreation and socialization Ensures safety and security of clients Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity Prepares clients for treatment or examination Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas. Minimum Requirements: 2 Years of Inpatient psychiatric experience BLS/CPR certification by AHA High school diploma or GED and 2 years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time. Current Life Saver Certification is required.
