Currently seeking a candidate with strong financial analytics experience to support McKesson's Generics Injectables team. The ideal candidate should have proven success in working in Pricing or FP&A roles with a strong ability to influence decisions among stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Senior Pricing Manager for Generics Injectables plays a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical industry by focusing on innovative pricing strategies that drive business growth within McKesson's expansive health systems portfolio as well as indirect support of the retail portfolio. This position demands a strong foundation in data analytics, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of the generics market dynamics. By leveraging data-driven insights, the Senior Pricing Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams including analytics, sourcing, sales, and FP&A to spearhead pricing initiatives that not only maximize revenue and profitability but also ensure a competitive market positioning.

The role involves developing dashboards, reports, and tools to monitor market share fluctuations and identify new opportunities, keeping a pulse on the competitive landscape. Building robust relationships with internal and external clients is essential, facilitating engagement and supporting informed pricing decisions amidst market shifts. Success in this role is contingent upon exceptional analytical skills, financial expertise, and a consultative approach, all underpinned by innovative problem-solving capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Innovation: Leverage advanced data analytics to uncover pricing trends and insights, driving strategic innovation and ensuring competitive advantage in the generics injectables market.

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Craft and implement pricing strategies for generic injectable pharmaceutical products, focusing on market dynamics, competition, and company goals. Identify opportunities to optimize pricing and profitability using targeted pricing strategies and supporting technologies.

  • Price Optimization: Continuously evaluate and adjust product pricing across the portfolio to ensure competitiveness and positioning for market growth opportunities. Leverage data-driven insights to inform pricing decisions and track overall market competitiveness through dashboards, reports, and benchmarking tools.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to assess the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, profit margins, and overall financial performance.

  • Cost and Volume Guidance: Conduct comprehensive market research to assess target cost ranges and estimate market share for the current portfolio and pipeline.

  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including pricing, sales, finance, and sourcing to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives.

  • New Product Launches: Develop pricing strategies for new generic injectable product launches, considering market dynamics and competition.

  • Pricing Governance: Establish and maintain pricing governance processes to ensure consistent and standardized pricing practices across the organization.

  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate pricing strategies, insights, and recommendations effectively to upper management and other stakeholders.

  • Proven capability to leverage data analytics and innovative approaches in developing strategic pricing solutions that enhance portfolio profitability while driving and sustaining sales growth.

  • Increase sales and profit through proactive, consistent, and optimized price management daily

  • Ability to bring forth new pricing strategies to increase portfolio profitability and increase/maintain sales

  • Obtain strong customer partnerships with key internal stakeholders to avoid leakage of sales to competitors

Minimum Requirement

Degree and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master's or Doctorate qualifications.

Education
MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience

Critical Skills

  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in pricing management or a related analytical role within the pharmaceutical or generics industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate data analytics with innovative strategies to drive pricing decisions that align with market trends and enhance competitive positioning.

  • Strong leadership skills to independently drive projects and initiatives and partner with key stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of pricing dynamics and/or the generics market.

  • Understanding of business management including P&L, ROI, and breakeven analysis

  • Proficient in completing financial analytical models upon request with minimal guidance.

  • Possess strong data analytical skills, adept at analyzing and interpreting data to provide insightful and actionable recommendations.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage competing multiple priorities

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate and manage projects with minimal supervision

  • Critical thinking and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment

  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and the 340b Drug Pricing Program a plus

  • Previous healthcare or Pharma experience (preferred)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable using tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

  • Experience supporting sales teams is a plus

Salary: 131,600.00 - 175,400.00 - 219,300.00 USD Annual with 20% MIP

General Office Demands

This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement based on recent updates to our in-office/workfromhome model. If located in DFW area, the selected candidate may be expected to work onsite at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific inoffice days may be designated according to team needs and business priorities.
