What You Will Do:

  • Lead the identification and analysis of portfolio-wide challenges, including process inefficiencies, redundancies, and performance gaps, using structured approaches such as lean and base-zero methodologies.

  • Challenge existing ways of working and develop practical, high-impact solutions that enhance value, improve predictability, and drive continuous improvement across programs.

  • Shape and advance optimization strategies across the full program lifecycle, with a focus on cost and schedule certainty, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and environmental performance.

  • Champion and lead key initiatives, including major cross-functional improvements and lessons learned, ensuring ideas are translated into measurable results.

  • Partner closely with sponsors and stakeholders to understand priorities, influence decision-making, and ensure initiatives are practical, supported, and effectively implemented.

  • Communicate insights, progress, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership, demonstrating impact against KPIs, strategic objectives, and key initiatives.

Who You Are:

  • University degree, degree, diploma or related construction or operational training and/or experience. Candidates who do not possess a degree require an additional 3 years of experience (10 years).

  • Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible working experience in the pipeline industry, including a strong working knowledge of pipeline engineering principles, industry standards, governmental regulations and complex detailed and/or project management experience.

  • Experienced in leading large-scale workshops and steering committees.

  • Must have exposure to Project Management, Engineering, Construction and Field operations and familiar with industry codes, regulations, standards, and specifications.

  • Predict obstacles, challenges, and risks to proactively determine mitigation strategies and innovative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Conveying a strong sense of urgency and driving issues to closure.

  • Effective interpersonal skills which include leadership, collaborative, team-oriented work style and the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Up to 10% of travel.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $125,000 - $165,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
