What You'll Do

As a Senior Manager of Procurement, you will negotiate and manage supply and service purchase orders and contracts for the Business in North America for both Opex and Capex. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of effective capital, shutdown, services and operational spare parts procurement for designated sites. Other duties include:

  • Lead develop, implement, and continuously improve of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the tactical procurement lifecycle.Review MRO and service spend at a regional level for nominated categories and determine appropriate contracting models, deriving volume synergies where possible, whilst balancing and maintaining local service levels.
  • Establish and manage compliance processes in line with internal audit requirements and Global Procurement Policy.
  • Develop and monitor a comprehensive suite of Procurement KPIs to drive team performance.
  • Act as the primary Procurement support lead for the Vendor Management function, providing the procurement framework and data-driven insights necessary to optimize vendor onboard and vendor maintenance.
  • Serve as the ultimate escalation point for Accounts Payable and invoicing discrepancies; resolve "blocked" invoices and systemic payment issues to maintain supplier health and ensure procure to pay process integrity.
  • Provide critical oversight on procurement policy deviations, ensuring all exceptions are justified, documented, and mitigated in alignment with global governance standards.
  • Support the creation of contractual Scopes of Work (SOW) and integrate performance-based KPIs into regional agreements; lead additional strategic projects as delegated by the General Manager.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of capital, shutdown services, and MRO spare parts for all designated North American sites.
  • Act as the primary change agent for implementing centralized procurement solutions and SAP PROCURE TO PAY enhancements across the region.
  • Review and service spend to determine optimal purchasing and contracting models, leveraging $1B in spend to derive volume synergies.
  • End to end PO cycle. With KPIs for PS peeps
  • Serve as the strategic link between Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and the Strategic Sourcing group.
  • Provide direct line management, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Procurement Specialists and Senior Specialists.
  • Establish long-term business objectives in collaboration with Site Managers to ensure procurement supports site-specific Services

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain/Procurement with five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA or Finance or Finance Specialization Preferred
  • 10+ years experience in contract negotiation, Team leadership and in a large manufacturing organization
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of Operational, Capital and contracting
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier management
  • Strategic negotiation and execution skills, with a focus on supplier engagement
  • Effective communication and influencing skills with both external service providers and key internal stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office and SAP
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
