Sr. Manager, Campus Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Campus Operations to lead the daily operations of Lenovo's Whitsett campus facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant campus operations, with a strong focus on facilities management, safety, and infrastructure support.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in facilities operations, exposure to construction or engineering projects, and strong knowledge of OSHA/OHS standards and local safety and permitting requirements. This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive operational excellence and support Lenovo's business and workplace strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Campus & Operational Leadership

  • Lead and oversee all daily campus operations, ensuring facilities, offices, shared spaces, and infrastructure are safe, functional, and well-maintained
  • Manage campus services including facilities management, maintenance, security, front office/administrative operations, and vendor-supported services
  • Serve as the senior on-site operational leader for the Whitsett facilities, resolving issues quickly and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Establish clear operational standards, workflows, and service-level expectations across campus functions
  • Support facility upgrades, renovations, and infrastructure improvements in partnership with engineering and construction teams

Staff Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and manage campus operations staff and support teams
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct reviews, provide coaching, and address performance concerns
  • Build a collaborative, accountable, and service-focused campus culture
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage to support daily operations, projects, and peak business needs

Budget, Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop, manage, and track campus operational budgets related to facilities, maintenance, staffing, construction support, and services
  • Oversee purchasing, invoicing, cost controls, and vendor expenses
  • Ensure responsible use of campus resources and support cost-efficiency initiatives
  • Partner with finance and leadership to forecast operational and facility-related needs

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with senior leadership to define campus operational goals and long-term facility plans
  • Translate Lenovo's business and workplace strategy into effective campus-level execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, facility performance, safety, and service delivery
  • Lead or support campus initiatives including renovations, construction projects, expansions, and operational changes

Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA/OHS standards, local and state regulations, and Lenovo safety policies
  • Maintain knowledge of local legislation, permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements related to facilities and construction activities
  • Oversee campus safety programs, emergency preparedness, and incident response
  • Manage compliance documentation, audits, inspections, and corrective action plans
  • Serve as the primary campus contact for regulatory agencies, safety inspections, and audits

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers, including facilities, maintenance, construction, engineering, and security partners
  • Support contract negotiations, monitor vendor performance, and ensure service-level agreements are met
  • Ensure vendors comply with Lenovo policies, safety standards, insurance requirements, and permitting processes

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in campus operations, facilities management, or operations leadership
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing performance
  • Proven experience managing operational budgets, purchasing, and vendor services
  • Strong operational judgment with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting corporate campuses, manufacturing sites, or large-scale facilities
  • Exposure to construction, engineering, or capital improvement projects
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA/OHS standards, safety programs, and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with local permitting, inspections, and facility-related legislation
  • Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and outsourced facility services
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with leadership, finance, HR, engineering, and external partners
