Temple University's Small Business Development Center is searching for an Associate Business Consultant!

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Position Summary
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Business Consultant is responsible for providing consulting and technical assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs in Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties. The Consultant will primarily be responsible for initial client assessments and consulting with micro-businesses. The Consultant consults and educates micro-businesses and entrepreneurs on strategies to develop and grow. The Consultant should have an understanding of the strategic and operational challenges that small businesses face. They are responsible for managing a limited portfolio of micro-business clients including follow-up and documentation of all client-related work. The SBDC Business Consultant works under the technical and administrative supervision of the Associate Director of the Small Business Development Center.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
* At least two (2) years of related experience
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
* Small business ownership/experience

Required Skills and Abilities
* Entrepreneurship, small business management and operations, marketing, market research, and human resource management skills
* Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and listening skills, and the ability to meet challenging clientele requests
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Proficient digital technology skills and ability to use the CRM to enter data and generate reports
* Ability to travel to locations that may not be accessible to public transportation
* Ability to work occasional nights and weekends

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
