About the Job

This temporary part-time position involves the investigation of TGD people's experiences in an ongoing mixed-methods research study. The individual selected for the position will engage in literature reviews and searches, data cleaning and analysis, and manuscript drafting. The estimated number of hours worked each week will range between 5 and 10 hours.

Job Responsibilities
Function 1 (50%)

  • Data processing, cleaning, and analysis for an ongoing longitudinal mixed-methods research project on TGD people's experiences in family contexts.

Function 2 (25%)

  • Administrative needs related to the ongoing research study.

Function 3 (25%)

  • Manuscript and presentation preparation for research publications and public dissemination of findings.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, such as a Master of Family Social Science.
  • Demonstrated commitment to advocating for an inclusive environment for all backgrounds and identities.
  • Significant knowledge of the scientific literature on TGD people's experiences in family and community contexts.
  • Introductory knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis of survey- and interview-based data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the social sciences, such as a Master's of Family Social Science
  • 3+ years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, ideally with LGBTQ+ populations.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $27.95 / hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Student workers are eligible to participate in the Student Health Benefit Plan, if they maintain 6 or more eligible course credits within a given semester. The same applies for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Assistants, Residents, Fellows and Interns.

Final salary offers are dependent on the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity within the department.
