Production Coordinator Minnetonka, MN Shift : 3:00 PM - 2:30 AM Pay: $28.00 per hour 26-04849 Job Summary The Production Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production activities, monitoring workflow, and ensuring quality and production goals are achieved within assigned work areas. This role assists with communication between production teams and leadership, supports operator training, performs audits and inspections, and helps maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating production activities within assigned work areas to support build schedules and manufacturing goals
- Communicate work instructions and production priorities to operators and production personnel
- Monitor workflow to ensure quality and productivity targets are achieved
- Perform regular process, tooling, equipment, and quality audits within assigned production areas
- Report equipment failures or operational issues to supervisors or appropriate support personnel
- Track and maintain work-in-process inventory status and daily production output information
- Support operator training activities and provide retraining assistance as needed
- Provide feedback regarding defects, process improvements, and corrective actions
- Assist in expediting priority products and tasks to meet production schedules
- Inspect rejected components and determine disposition according to required documentation and procedures
- Perform direct manufacturing operations when necessary to support production demands
- Coordinate purchase requests for equipment, tools, and services as required
- Assist in identifying root causes of production or quality issues and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Conduct daily meetings with manufacturing operators to support communication and continuous improvement initiatives
- Verify preventive maintenance and calibration records are current and compliant
- Participate in 5S audits and continuous improvement meetings with production teams and leadership
- Support employee needs including training assistance and system-related support activities
- Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), FDA regulations, and company procedures
- Maintain professional and cooperative communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and customers
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; additional technical or manufacturing education preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, production coordination, quality, or related operations environment preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement principles
- Ability to interpret production schedules, work instructions, and process documentation
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with manufacturing systems preferred
- Ability to identify problems, analyze root causes, and support corrective actions
- Understanding of FDA regulations, QMS, EMS, and regulatory compliance standards preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing operations, production support, quality coordination, or team leadership preferred
- Experience supporting audits, inspections, operator training, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
