Summary:

Responsibilities:

As a Supervisor , Cash Management, you will ensure timely and accurate posting of payments, allowances, denials, and adjustments while confirming that all receipts are fully balanced.

The supervisor will also monitor, identify, document, and report issues with contracted payors to the appropriate facility liaison to support accurate reimbursement and compliance.

Core responsibilities:

  • Authorize adjustments - Verify that all adjustments are properly authorized and supported with required documentation.

  • Manage unidentified receipts - Oversee logging and resolution of unidentified receipts, ensuring all items are cleared by monthend.

  • Process returned checks - Ensure research items and NSF/returned checks are logged, tracked, and processed accurately and promptly.

  • Serve as a resource - Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and maintain timely, open communication across teams.

  • Review operational reports - Analyze daily and weekly reports to assign workloads, plan staffing, and ensure all processes are completed on schedule.

  • Support policy and goal development - Assist management in developing, maintaining, and enforcing departmental policies, procedures, and performance goals.

  • Supervise daily operations - Lead the team's daytoday activities, conduct quality audits, and ensure performance targets are consistently met.

  • Manage attendance and staffing - Track attendance, approve timeoff requests, oversee payroll functions, and maintain staffing levels to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

One to two years of collegelevel coursework, or three years of healthcare business office experience in lieu of coursework, and two years of experience in healthcare cash application and adjustment processes. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and subordinates. Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform well under pressure. Solid technical aptitude due to frequent interaction with the accounting department and the impact on the organization's financial position. Excellent interpersonal skills with an open, approachable, and professional demeanor.
