What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a Project Manager, Transit & Rail to join our Transit Planning Team! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Kansas City, MO office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The Project Manager,Transit & Rail,develops, initiates, plans, executes, controls and closes-out projects and scopes of service involving nominal risk and complexity that aregenerallytransitor rail-specific or in support of larger projects managed by Senior Project Managers.The Project Manager will also market and develop businessin accordance withthe goals of the business plan for the assigned org and/or business unit.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Participate in the project pursuit decision (go/no-go).
  • Develop and prepare proposals.
  • Participate in presenting proposals, negotiation of contract scopes, and execution of contracts to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the project set-upprocess;including preparing PA's and WBS's for input into BST.This includes billing particulars and invoice requirements.
  • Lead andparticipatein project kick-off meetings, asrequired.
  • Coordinate and manage the efforts of subconsultants,subcontractors,and vendors.
  • Prepare orassistin preparing project status reports.
  • Identifyand control risksin accordance withthe PEP's.
  • Managetimelybillings, A/Rcollectionand A/P processing
  • Approve client invoices for billing.
  • Approve sub-consultant invoices for payment.
  • Approve budget transfers in BST.
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • Bachelor's Degreerequired;bachelor'sdegree in related technical field preferred
  • 10 +years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in multiplejurisdictionspreferred.
  • PMI,PMP,or approved equivalent preferred.
  • Mustbe able to analyze and solve problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
