Vice President, Product Specialist – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Santander US Capital Markets LLC) - Identify and pursue new institutional sales prospects for our investment products, financial services and financial instruments within existing or untapped markets in Latin America. Gather institutional sales sector intelligence, generate leads, and develop proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. Use knowledge of financial markets, industries and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects. Initiate, develop and enhance relationships with senior executives at existing clients and targeted prospects with the objective of enhancing revenue generation and risk-adjusted return on capital. Develop and maintain relationships with participating lenders to ensure adequate demand for syndicated loans originated by the company. Ensure transaction due diligence by overseeing the underwriting process for potential transactions. Partner with Relationship Managers on new business development opportunities related to syndicated bank loans. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or Economics, plus three years of pre- or post-Bachelor’s experience in the offered position or in an institutional sales position in the banking/finance sector. All of the required experience must have included: identifying and pursuing sales prospects for FX derivatives, fixed income and credit derivatives within existing or untapped LatAm markets; using knowledge of local financial markets and related regulations and compliance requirements in LatAm countries to determine trends and understand volatility; creating and delivering personalized daily market insights and customized trading strategies to clients; working collaboratively with Portfolio Managers, Senior Traders and Strategists to provide clients and investors access to market intelligence of Brazilian and the broader LatAm financial markets; and managing and executing repo transactions by leveraging knowledge of money market instruments, legal and regulatory frameworks in LatAm countries, credit risk and liquidity management. #LI-DNI.
