Job Description

Hourly Pay:$20.40+

2nd Shift Premium: $1.25/hr

Shift: 7:30PM to 6AM Monday-Thursday

Responsible for machine operation and crews in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine teams to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of Material Handler and Light Equipment Operator, as required.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production: Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed and issues are communicated to Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed.
  • Crew Leadership/Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members.
  • Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Makes adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles.
  • Communication/Record Keeping/Safety: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Monitors and promotes a safe and clean workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 3+years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, folk lift, etc.
  • Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job
  • May provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
  • Must have basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs in order to complete job duties successfully
  • Must have adequate oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustments to meet business needs
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25pounds.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues


Additional Information

The pay rate for this role is $20.40+ per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may varybased upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In additionto base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, .
