As a Security Officer - Outdoor Retail Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will bring a people-first mindset, teamwork, reliability, and integrity while helping to meet the needs of the location with agility and professionalism.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized activity, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior through visible presence and routine observation.
• Support a welcoming environment by assisting visitors with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, hazards, and/or other unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
