Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to support the C2BMC program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: * Will primarily be responsible for software development in Java * Interact with others using strong verbal and written communication skills * Work either independently or collaboratively in a small group * Be flexible in a highly dynamic, ever-changing environment * Provide in-depth analysis and technical support for a large, distributed Java system * Perform complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user support for a large codebase * Follow specifications to develop or modify functionality in the code * Assist in design, benchmarking, testing, debugging, and documentation * Interface with other system support groups to resolve issues, set standards, and improve the system's overall efficiency WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES: * A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree * Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the ability to be cleared at TS/SCI * Experience with Java or C++ software development, software testing, or software integration * Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change * Frequent contact with internal and external customers and representation of the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS: * Applicants with a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance at the time of application are highly preferred * Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application, is highly preferred. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period * Full-stack web development experience preferred, including Angular/Cesium/JWT Authentication/TypeScript/HTML/CSS/Node.js/Wildfly * Experience with Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, and Confluence is highly desired * Experience with using and developing SW and creating scripts on Linux strongly desired PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $115,000 - $125,000 APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 1, 2026 THE AURIA TEAM: Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers.
