Job Description




As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Orange, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control activity, respond to site needs, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities across the location.
  • Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management and/or public emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures, and report security-related issues, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and share relevant updates during post turnover and/or with Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
