Job Responsibilities:

This position manages volunteer oversight and site visit operations for 21 disciplines accredited by CODA, spanning predoctoral dental education, advanced dental education, and allied dental education programs. This role serves as the primary liaison to approximately 800 volunteers and is responsible for the logistical planning and operational management of roughly 300 site visits conducted annually.

Must Have:



  • Bachelor's degree or experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 years experience (or 9 years in lieu of a degree) in/with:

    • managing volunteer programs or stakeholder groups, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing engagement
    • overseeing highvolume operational activities such as site visits, program reviews, or evaluations
    • serving as a primary point of contact and liaison to professional volunteers, faculty, clinicians, administrators, or external reviewers
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex logistics, including travel arrangements, schedules, documentation, and timelines
    • maintaining records and using databases or management systems to track activities and outcomes


  • Knowledge of preparing guidance materials, instructions, and professional correspondence. Knowledge of data-tracking tools
  • Skills and attributes:

    • excellent verbal communication, writing, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills Influential, self-starter, results-focused, strategic, and analytical


  • Able to manage sensitive and highstakes interactions with professionalism and discretion
  • Prioritize competing demands and adapt to changing schedules
  • Manage multiple concurrent activities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fastpaced, detailoriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Travel 3+ times per year, 1-3 nights per trip, to attend conferences or meetings, participate in CODA meetings, participate in site visits

  • Experience in accreditation, compliance, regulatory review, or quality assurance processes
  • Experience working in higher education, healthcare, dental education, or other professional education settings
  • Experience supporting or managing site visits associated with accreditation or program review bodies
