Position Summary:

The AssistantNurseManager,PerioperativeServicessupports intheday-to-day clinical operations, staffmanagement,and quality oversight of perioperativeserviceswithinanassigned facility or definedservicearea. Theincumbent assists in directingtheactivities of perioperative coworkersensuring that allpatientcare activities are delivered safely,efficiently,and in accordance with established clinical standards,regulatory requirements,and departmental policies and procedures.This role shares accountabilityforstaffing and scheduling coordination, staffcompetency,daily workflow management,supply and resource utilization,andthemaintenance ofasafe and therapeutic surgical environment. The AssistantNurseManagerassists intheonboarding and orientation ofnew staff,supportstheperformance evaluation process,provides ongoing coaching and mentorship to frontline coworkers. Theincumbent contributes to performance improvement initiatives,participates in quality and safety reviews,and helps implement departmental goals and operational changes as directed.This position works under direction and oversight and exercises sound independent judgment in managing unit-level operational and clinical issues withintheassigned perioperative area.

Required Qualifications:

• Prior management/leadershipexperienceinanacute care setting

• Must demonstrate excellent customerserviceskills

• Minimum of1yearexperiencein Perioperative Services, preferably the Operating Room

• Knowledge of Title22andJoint CommissionRequirements

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintainawork pace appropriate totheworkload

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships acrossthe Health System

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support

Education:

• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
• MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
