Senior Strategist - Commerce Content & Search

Position Purpose

Leads integrated digital shelf content and commerce search strategy, translating brand, consumer, and search insights into high-performing product content and discoverability plans across retailer platforms.

Strategic Thinking



  • Develop integrated digital shelf content and commerce search strategies aligned to business and client goals
  • Translate client briefs, brand objectives, and consumer insights into actionable plans across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Instacart, and other retailer platforms
  • Build SEO- and retailer-informed frameworks across PDP copy, imagery, taxonomy, keywords, and below-the-fold content
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, share-of-search assessment, and identify growth opportunities from search behavior
  • Integrate keyword and search data into natural, human-first content while applying retailer guidelines and platform constraints
  • Lead insight-to-creative translation and turn complex data into clear recommendations and strategy


Content & Search Optimization



  • Optimize discoverability, ranking, visibility, and share of search across key retailer platforms
  • Make data-backed recommendations to improve content performance, PDP quality, and conversion-driving messaging
  • Analyze content and search effectiveness to refine keywords, taxonomy, messaging, and content alignment
  • Continuously evolve strategies based on performance data, search behavior, retailer algorithm updates, and platform changes


Collaboration & Leadership



  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Search, Content, Creative, and Client teams to develop integrated strategies
  • Lead content and search workstreams, ensuring alignment across strategy, execution, and optimization
  • Build, deliver and present strategies, insights, and recommendations clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the growth of junior team members by reviewing work, sharing feedback, and contributing to capability building across content and search disciplines
  • Innovation & Thought Leadership
  • Stay current on retailer AI tools, AI-driven search capabilities, and evolving retailer algorithms
  • Track content, discoverability, and digital shelf trends to apply forward-looking approaches across platforms
  • Contribute to thought leadership and help shape best practices across content and search disciplines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $80,000 USD - $90,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
