What to Expect
We're looking for a Localization Specialist to join our Vehicle Software organization. As the Tesla fleet grows globally, our infotainment systems, mobile app, release notes, voice commands, navigation, and alerts must remain intuitive for drivers & riders in every market. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to localize new features across our vehicle displays (Model 3/Y, Cybertruck, Cybercab, and beyond). You'll champion the customer perspective in every decision, ensuring we continue to deliver the highest-quality user experience as our UI evolves.

What You'll Do
  • Translate, review, & proofread UI strings, mobile app, and release notes content
  • Develop detailed test plans that represent specific use/edge/negative test cases for global markets; partner with validation teams to execute these plans and perform regression testing on bug fixes
  • Analyze language data from the customer fleet and take appropriate actions to improve it
  • Perform daily localization testing
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and design teams to ensure UI features are intuitive & implemented to specification
  • Investigate issues reported by customers and internal test engineers (including your own tests)
  • Drive & use our products daily, reporting bugs or UX issues when necessary

What You'll Bring
  • Proficiency in 2 or more languages (a plus if it includes: Hebrew, Russian, Romanian, Greek, Croatian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Hungarian, Malay, or Serbian)
  • 3+ years of experience in software localization or linguistic QA on User Interface devices
  • Experience with industry standard development and automation tools (Stash, JIRA, Jenkins, XML, SQL, Git, etc.)
  • Familiar with Linux/Unix environments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
  • Excellent communicator and very detail-oriented

    Expected Compensation
    $88,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
