Due to retirement, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality and food safety programs at our Cedarburg, WI fluid milk and cream facility. This role is responsible for driving compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong food safety culture in partnership with plant operations. This position reports to the Director, Quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily quality and food safety operations in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain audit readiness and oversee food safety, sanitation, and quality programs.
- Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Oversee hold/release processes, documentation review, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, preventive maintenance, and change control processes.
- Lead plant quality initiatives, including EMP, lab testing, and data analysis.
- Serve as primary contact for customer complaints and regulatory/customer audits.
- Partner cross-functionally (Operations, R&D, leadership) to support quality and capital projects.
- Develop, coach, and lead quality team members; provide food safety and compliance training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-8 years of QA experience in food, beverage, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of both laboratory and plant current good manufacturing practices.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience (manager experience preferred).
- PCQI, HACCP, and/or SQF certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
