Summary:
The Clinical Coding and Compliance Auditor role is responsible for the accurate assignment of ICD and CPT codes of diagnoses and procedures for outpatient medical records in multiple outpatient settings.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Associate's Degree in a science field preferred. Completion of an accredited program through AHIMA or AAPC preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-H, or CIRCC credential preferred.
  3. Experience: Two years of multi-specialty, preferably surgical coding experience, with CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS/modifier coding for physician professional charges and a minimum of two years' experience in an acute care facility as an ASU Clinical Coder required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Experience coding E/M's, Outpatient Hospital Clinics, OBV, ASU, Professional Surgical CPT's, ED's, cardiac cath/angiography, and simple visit coding required.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A

The pay range for this position is $61,256.00to $82,867.20per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
