Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and solutions-oriented Application Strategist & Scrum Master with expertise in Bloomberg AIM trading application workflows and interfacing trading system applications such as TradeWeb, Market Axess, WSO Markit and others. This role is critical to supporting Agile methodologies, trading operations, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to analyze, optimize, and support workflows within the transaction lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 4 days per week. Location(s): Charlotte, NC or Milwaukee, WI
Responsibilities
Serve as Scrum Master for a technology agile scrum team, managing JIRA work, daily standups, prioritization of work and Sprint ceremonies
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users and IT for all Bloomberg AIM and integrated application-related initiatives, applying critical thinking to bridge technical and business needs.
- Analyze JIRA backlog, support grooming of work and drive items to definition of ready
- Analyze and document trading lifecycle workflows, including integrated applications supporting the order management systems, identifying gaps and proposing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, operations and compliance teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient system solutions.
- Lead testing, validation, and deployment of updates and enhancements, proactively identifying potential issues and resolving them before implementation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to trade execution, compliance alerts, and data integration, leveraging analytical skills to diagnose root causes.
- Coordinate with order management system support and internal teams for workflow changes, system upgrades, and patches, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum value.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and change requests, with attention to detail and logical organization.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Bloomberg AIM in a business systems or analyst role.
- 2+ years of experience working as an Agile Methodology Scrum Master - Kanban or Sprint, utilizing JIRA for management of work items
- Proven ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, dynamic environments.
- Strong understanding of investment management operations, trading workflows, and compliance processes.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex systems and workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to work at a computer and use standard business software for extended periods during the workday.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and business partners in person and electronically as needed.
- Engage in regular in-person interaction and collaboration with team members and other stakeholders.
- Work effectively in a professional office environment with ongoing collaboration, activity, and shifting priorities.
- Maintain productivity and focus while balancing multiple tasks and interruptions common in an in-person business setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and integration with upstream/downstream systems.
- Experience with PowerApps tools
- Experience with Bloomberg API or data services
- Experience with Charles River Development (CRD) CRIMS order management system

Compensation
Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $145,000 Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.) #LI-JD1 #LI-Hybrid
