Overview

Strategic leadership role responsible for transforming complex financial and operational data into actionable insights through advanced visualization solutions. This position bridges Finance and IT, leading the design, development, and governance of data visualizations to support executive decision-making, performance management, and business intelligence initiatives.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Defines and executes enterprise data visualization strategy aligned to Finance, Operations, and business objectives
  • Leads and develops a team of data visualization specialists
  • Establishes governance, standards, and best practices for dashboards and reporting
  • Partners with Finance (FP&A, Accounting) and operational leaders to enable data-driven decisions
  • Designs and delivers scalable, high-performance dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Translates complex financial and operational data into clear, executive-level insights
  • Ensures data accuracy, consistency, integrity, security, and usability across visualization platforms
  • Collaborates with stakeholders and IT to define KPIs, optimize data models, and integrate with enterprise systems
  • Enables self-service analytics and supports budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Drives innovation through automation, advanced analytics, and adoption of new visualization tools and best practices


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, MBA preferred, and ten (10) years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial reporting and five (5) years of experience with Tableau (or similar BI tools) in a leadership capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience working at the intersection of Finance and IT
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau (desktop, server, data structures and reporting frameworks
  • Working knowledge of medallion architecture and the ability to consume and interpret gold-layer data for reporting and analysis.
  • Proficient in data modeling, including building and optimizing semantic models, defining relationships, and writing DAX measures and / or calculated fields.
  • Experience with SQL, data warehouses, and ETL process
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. UKG, Sage Intacct)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills using data
  • Ability to simplify complex data into clear, impactful insights
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and business relevance
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Functions involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 25 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to safely operate assigned vehicles possibly long distances.
