THE POSITION

Become an Administrative Assistant 1 with the Department of Transportation and play a key part in keeping the Online Programs Section running at a high standard. This position gives you the chance to work with data, reports, and procedures that help improve customer service and program quality. You will support coworkers and partners by providing clear information and dependable work. Build a role that strengthens statewide services.



DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on providing administrative, analytical, and customer service support for the Online Programs Section while ensuring high standards of accuracy and professionalism. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:

  • Customer Support: Provide courteous assistance to Business Partners through telephone and email
  • Data Tracking: Develop, manage, and analyze reports that monitor image aging, reconstructed work, and error trends
  • Issue Resolution: Identify problems, research causes, and recommend or take action to correct issues
  • Program Assistance: Support program managers by maintaining workflow conditions and giving helpful feedback
  • Record Review: Interpret complex motor vehicle records and coordinate solutions with processing areas
  • Report Preparation: Organize and type correspondence and reports by established due dates

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
