Subspecialty interest in EMG, sleep medicine, or epilepsy can be accommodated and supported. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible. General Neurologist (MD/DO) Job Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including initial assessments and ongoing monitoring of patients' conditions Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders through evidence-based medical practices Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests and procedures Coordinate and authorize specialty referrals and ancillary services as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through case conferences and care coordination efforts Maintain effective consultative relationships with nurses, social workers, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals Participate in clinical research initiatives and studies to advance neurological care Contribute to preventive health programs, including screenings, immunizations, and community outreach efforts Provide clinical education and mentorship to medical students, residents, and other trainees Deliver in-service training and educational sessions for clinical staff Perform additional duties as assigned
General Neurologist (MD/DO) Minimum Requirements:
Work Schedule: Full time, 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Certification: Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology required Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required upon start) Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
