THE ROLE: Manager, Distribution Research

The Revenue Analytics division of Research within A+E Global Media is responsible for creating new means, methods and metrics that will fuel solutions to drive revenue across the enterprise. As we have diversified the distribution of our content to reach robust audiences and fortify our brand, we are tasked with finding revenue opportunities across a complex ecosystem. Driven by strong creative aptitude and rooted in data and strategy, we provide advertisers and partners with the ROI metrics they seek to maximize their investment with us and prove value in our offering.

We're looking for a curious, analytical, and detail-oriented Manager/Sr. Analyst with a strong interest in media, audience insights, and distribution strategy. In this role, you will support analytics and strategic insights across A+E Global Media's digital portfolio and distribution partnerships. You'll leverage behavioral analytics, market research, and KPI-driven insights to monitor business performance, support affiliate partner strategies, and deliver actionable recommendations that drive content, product, audience, and distribution decisions.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize recurring reports and dashboards in Adobe Analytics, Tableau, and other reporting tools for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting and research requests, present findings clearly and strategically, and proactively surface recommendations that inform business and distribution decisions.
  • Analyze audience behavior, engagement trends, consumption patterns, and platform performance across digital and distribution partners to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Synthesize large datasets, competitive intelligence, and marketplace trends into clear, actionable insights that support digital strategy and affiliate/MVPD distribution negotiations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across Research, Distribution, Digital, and Content to champion data-driven decision-making and provide insights that support business priorities and strategic initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
As the media landscape continues to evolve amid fragmentation and disruption, Research plays a critical role in helping A+E Global Media understand, acquire, retain, and monetize our audiences. In this role, you'll collaborate across teams and disciplines to help establish a clear, consistent analytics framework that brings complex metrics to life through context and clarity. You'll gain exposure to the challenges facing modern media companies and develop a deep understanding of how data informs content strategy and distribution decisions. While the work is grounded in analytical rigor, the key attribute that will drive success is curiosity-a desire to explore, question, and make sense of emerging trends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of experience in distribution research at a media company
  • Knowledge of the media and distribution landscape, including MVPDs, vMVPDs, TV Everywhere, AVOD, SVOD and FAST platforms.
  • At least 3 years of experience analyzing large datasets, conducting competitive research, and developing performance reporting to deliver clear, actionable insights and support strategic business recommendations across a variety of stakeholders.
  • At least 2 years of Adobe Analytics and Nielsen
  • Advanced skill set in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience using BI tools

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience in distribution research at a media company
  • Knowledge of the media and distribution landscape, including MVPDs, vMVPDs, TV Everywhere, AVOD, SVOD and FAST platforms.
  • Prior experience building BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Domo or other data visualization tools)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
