This is a grant funded position and is not eligible for severance pay.
Dental Research Administration (DRA) at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) is the main research structure for all basic science and clinical projects at the Dental School. DRA is the liaison to the Office of the Vice Provost, Sponsored Accounting, IRB, IACUC, DLAM, Biosafety and all other offices responsible for administering research on the Tufts Health Sciences Campus. Housing several research labs including the Gavel Center for Restorative Dental Research which is endowed from Dr. J. Murray Gavel. DRA at TUSDM defines and executes the research goals and mission of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

What You'll Do

The main purpose of this role is to facilitate the compliant performance of human subjects research at the dental school. The main function of the role is performing regulatory approval functions which includes working with study teams to develop study protocols, consent forms, and supporting documentations, facilitating IRB approval, study start-up activities, and monitoring study progress.
  • Work with study teams to obtain start up approval for non-human subject research projects and survey studies, including review of study protocols, creation of recruitment supporting documentation, ensuring all study team members have CITI/GCP training
  • Project Coordination- Attending study initiation meetings, creating study binders and subject files, periodically auditing study files
  • Data review for quality assurance
  • Evaluate study protocol; train student researchers for study start up, focusing on training for obtaining written informed consent and required research file documentation
  • RedCap/ EDC template creation and data entry
  • Tasks as needed to support DRA determined by supervisor

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years' experience in a research setting (including internships or co-ops).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail.

Pay Range

Minimum $55,600.00, Midpoint $69,500.00, Maximum $83,400.00

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
