Senior Supply Chain Manager

We're looking to hire a talented Sr. Manager, Supply Chain based in Hanover, PA.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain is responsible to lead and optimize our supply chain operations for our Hanover manufacturing site. The Hanover facility is the leading producer of filler metals for ESAB in the U.S. and represents approximately +$200M in sales. The manufacturing plant is approximately 386K sq ft, covers 5 value streams and includes a distribution center network. This role is responsible for strategic demand planning, scheduling, inventory management and raw material scheduling to ensure seamless production and delivery, as well purchase of finished goods for resale. The ideal candidate will drive supply chain excellence and cutting-edge AI SIOP solutions.

Primary Duties

  • SIOP and Demand Planning: Continuously improve the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) to align demand forecasts with production and supply chain capabilities. Lead team through rough cut capacity and ensure capacity constraints are escalated and demand is controlled
  • Scheduling and Production Efficiency: Manage and optimize production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize lead times. Ensure production meetings effectively drive the optimal schedule that achieves past due and on time delivery improvement by product line.
  • Raw material purchasing: Manage the purchasing team for all Hanover raw materials and packaging and ensure availability for operations. Work with vendors on improvements such as MOQ and Lead-Time reduction, Consignment programs, and On-time delivery.
  • Revenue Commitments and Shipment Strategy: Improvement level-loaded shipment strategies to meet weekly and monthly goals for revenue with 3PL warehouses.
  • Inventory Optimization, Management and Control: Lead the integration of AI-driven tools to enhance inventory planning, control, and optimization. Drive Inventory Reduction projects in collaboration with the cross-functional team and ensure targets are met.
  • Supply Chain Best Practices: Design and implement best practices to achieve supply chain excellence. Work with the ESAB EBXai team on continuous improvement and lead the supply chain projects to drive Hanover performance.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Oversee inventory cycle counts and reconciliation processes to maintain high accuracy and reduce variance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, sales, product management, customer support, sourcing, and transportation teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain management with a focus on manufacturing or industrial production.
  • Proven expertise in SIOP, demand planning and production scheduling.
  • Strong experience with inventory management, including cycle counting and AI tool implementation.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in SAP/MRP systems and advanced knowledge of supply chain software (PowerBI)
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, with a track record of leading cross functional teams.
  • Advanced analytical skills and proficiency in data visualization tools.
  • APICS certification (i.e., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work off-peak hours and travel - up to 15%.


Working Conditions


  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
  • Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools.
