The Prime Information Service Division Internship program provides opportunities for collegiate students, recent graduates and work force re-entry candidates to explore various careers in Information Technology, within UNC Healthcare System. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience, working with motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare System IT professionals, while expanding their knowledge base, building resumes and gaining relevant course related and career experience. Interns will work on tasks and projects as determined by the team/department they are working with.Responsibilities will include shadowing our senior team members coupled with hands on task and project assignments. - Assist with rapid eLearning development of courses on AI literacy learning modules, job aids, reference guides, and resource materials for UNC Health teammates.
- Support interactive workshops, learner journeys, storyboards, and role-based learning pathways.
- Apply instructional design principles to help create AI use case examples and scenario-based activities that promote responsible AI use.
- Maintain AI resource libraries and organize educational content for reuse.
- Support AI community events, presentations, learner feedback, and engagement activities.
Applied AI & Automation Analyst (1) : Hybrid - Onsite/Remote position
- Learn about Applied AI & Automation at UNC Health
- Support AI adoption and AI literacy efforts
- Document current state processes, and identify opportunities for improvement and use of AI & Automation
- Support delivery of AI & Automation solutions that create meaningful impact
IT Business Analyst Intern (1): Onsite - Morrisville, NC
- Conduct business requirement meetings with stakeholders, vendors, and subject matter experts
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to gather, document, and validate business requirements
- Document business requirements, risks, assumptions, benefits, costs and decisions within demands and projects
- Document and track Ideas, Demands, and Projects in the Shared Enterprise Services Project Tracker
- Provide project support for Business Analysts and Project Managers
- Track project milestones, action items, and deliverables
- Assist with oversight of entity-supported projects, initiatives, and operational tasks
- Assist with SharePoint site administration and content maintenance
- Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and meeting documentation
- Perform project status reporting and dashboard maintenance
- Develop reports and presentations for leadership and project stakeholders
