Overview

TRC is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Consultant. The position requires a strong technical EHS service background, project management skills and experience, a solid reputation for building and maintaining key client relationships and a strong interest in business development.The position will also focus on providing EHS compliance consulting and helping clients to improve their performance to their applicable EHS goals and objectives.

This position will support our national platform to deliver EHS Compliance Programs and Performance Improvement Services.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as a seller/doer responsible for developing new clients and projects for TRC, with a primary focus on environmental compliance services; safety experience is a plus. Meeting sales (bookings) targets is a priority.
  • Support clients across a variety of industrial sectors, including power, chemical, food and beverage, aerospace, solid waste, forest products, rail transportation, oil and gas, retail, and other manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with client account managers and teams to meet client expectations and expand the services provided to our clients.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow strong client relationships.
  • Manage and support the development and implementation of EHS management systems, compliance assessments, and audits to ensure effective risk control and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, scopes, deliverable quality, and schedules; demonstrate the ability to lead and manage EHS compliance projects.
  • Perform and manage environmental compliance activities including, but not limited to: air permitting; SPCC planning; NPDES/stormwater permitting and reporting; SWPPP; EPCRA Tier II and TRI reporting; wastewater permitting; and hazardous waste storage/disposal.
  • Support the development and implementation of written health and safety programs (e.g., hazard communication, lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, PPE, electrical safety, hot work, machine guarding, etc.); experience in this area is a plus.
  • Prepare high-quality client deliverables.
  • Travel to client sites for meetings and project work, as needed (typically less than 25%).
  • Maintain required billable utilization targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of EHS experience, including leading and managing complex EHS projects in diverse manufacturing environments across targeted industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and working with key account teams to increase revenue.
  • Strong interest in business development and growing client accounts.
  • Ability to interface effectively with clients and colleagues, building strong rapport and positive working relationships.
  • Consultative demeanor with the ability to identify client needs and offer practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and technical EHS skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work as a team player and support a national service platform.
  • Experience organizing and conducting EHS audits.
  • Experience developing and delivering EHS compliance programs.
  • Experience performing EHS due diligence assessments.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing safety and environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle records check.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to commute and travel to project sites as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous consulting and client management experience.
  • Service growth experience preferred.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.
