- Develop, implement and oversee inventory and purchasing policies, procedures and compliancy across the organization
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations and performance evaluations
- Establish metrics to track efficiencies, spend and turns
- Build strong relationships with branch personnel to provide support and strengthen trust in SOPs
- Manage the physical inventory counting process and valuation
- Travel to branches for audits and training
- Identify opportunities for new vendors and suppliers
- Analyze market trends for improved cost savings, vendor discounts and rebates
- Maintain accurate pricing of parts in the system
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow safety regulations and practices
- Open minded willingness to continual learning
- Interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional manner
- Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures and core values
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by management
Required:
- Valid driver's license
- 10+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain management
- 5+ years' experience in a leadership or management role
- Ability to negotiate high level contacts
- Strong financial and analytical capabilities
- Bachelor's degree desired but not necessary
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
- Must be able to perform some repetitive motions while using a computer
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes and loud noises
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
