The LAMN Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects to ensure company facilities, buildings, and grounds remain safe, functional, and well maintained. This role supports preventive maintenance activities, building systems, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and facility improvement projects while coordinating with contractors and maintaining compliance with company safety and quality standards. The position also assists with project planning, vendor coordination, and maintenance documentation across multiple company locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment and facilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and building systems
- Maintain interior and exterior building conditions, including lighting, grounds and general facility appearance
- Perform lawn care, landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming and general upkeep
- Remove snow and ice from parking lots, sidewalks and facility entrances using appropriate equipment and materials
- Complete facility improvement projects including painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation and furniture or equipment moves
- Operate equipment such as skid loaders to grade, sweep, load and unload materials
- Assist with facility construction, remodeling and repair projects
- Coordinate facility and property improvement projects, including obtaining bids, scheduling work, monitoring budgets and working with contractors
- Complete and maintain maintenance records using the company work order system
- Assist outside contractors with repairs, inspections and specialized maintenance projects
- Travel between company facilities as needed to support maintenance activities and projects
Education:
- High School diploma or GED
Experience/Training:
- One year of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction or related experience preferred
- Experience performing basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs preferred
- Experience operating lawn care or light construction equipment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general building maintenance and repair practices
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and light equipment
- Ability to read and follow work orders, operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple maintenance requests
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and maintenance work order systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams and contractors
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Previous construction experience
- Experience coordinating facility improvement or construction projects
- Experience managing vendors or contractors
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Experience operating skid loaders or similar equipment
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, reach, lift, carry, push and pull materials and equipment throughout the workday
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally move heavier materials using appropriate equipment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lawn maintenance equipment and skid loaders
- Analyze maintenance issues, troubleshoot equipment, prioritize work and manage multiple projects
- Work both independently and with contractors while maintaining attention to detail and following safety procedures
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
- Regular exposure to maintenance equipment, machinery, dust, noise and construction-related hazards
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all company safety policies
- Travel between company facilities up to one week per month as business needs require
The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is $30.00 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
