The Service Crew Member supports the service team by assisting with roof leak investigations, repairs, and preventative maintenance while delivering safe, high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Diagnose leaks and roofing deficiencies accurately and efficiently.
- Perform repairs across a wide range of commercial roofing systems.
- Support our Preventative Maintenance Program through inspections, minor repairs, and ongoing maintenance.
- Document work performed with clear photos and detailed notes using mobile applications.
- Assist the foreman with service calls and daily job preparation.
- Communicate professionally with customers upon arrival at job sites.
- Perform work that meets Mahaney's standards for quality, safety, productivity, and watertightness.
- Participate in daily production meetings and required company training.
- Assist with job site cleanup, debris removal, and maintaining an organized work area.
- Proactively seek additional work and remain productive throughout the day.
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
- Learn and utilize company systems, including FCS and TFM.
- Safely operate hand and power tools.
- Maintain required personal protective equipment and company-issued tools.
- Receive coaching from the Superintendent and apply feedback to improve performance.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and exceptional attendance.
What You Bring
- Some construction experience. Commercial roofing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow all Mahaney Safety Policies and procedures.
- Ability to work various schedules while maintaining excellent attendance.
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse teams.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Maintain required tools and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to communicate in English or Spanish.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, agility test, and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to climb a 40+ft ladder.
- Ability to stand on feet and kneel for long periods of time, 12+ hours.
- Ability to work on elevated levels.
- Ability to work in dusty/dirty conditions.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat/cold).
