Superintendent | Job Summary The Superintendent is responsible for the overall management and successful execution of medium to large-scale projects. This leadership role oversees all project operations, including staffing, safety, quality, financial performance, customer relations, scheduling, and project delivery. The Superintendent ensures all work is completed in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, budget expectations, and project timelines while maintaining a high level of operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Personnel Management Recruit, hire, train, supervise, mentor, and develop project personnel. Manage employee performance, promotions, compensation recommendations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies. Provide coaching and leadership to ensure team success and customer satisfaction. Lead operational meetings, training sessions, and safety initiatives. Project & Operations Management Oversee all phases of project execution from planning through completion. Manage staffing levels, workload distribution, and resource allocation. Monitor project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Drive productivity and ensure compliance with project budgets. Coordinate project activities to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction. Financial Management Maintain project profitability and achieve company financial goals. Review job costs, invoices, change orders, and financial reports for accuracy. Support customer billing, collections, and financial forecasting. Monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost control. Customer Relations Serve as the primary operational liaison between the company and customer representatives. Attend customer, facility, and construction meetings. Address customer concerns and ensure a high level of service throughout the project lifecycle. Quality & Safety Promote and enforce company and customer safety standards. Conduct job walks, quality inspections, and outage prevention reviews. Ensure all work is completed according to project specifications and quality requirements. Partner with the Training Department to monitor and improve quality and safety performance. Documentation & Process Improvement Ensure completion of all required project documentation, including: Timesheets Work orders Change orders Material transfers Tool transfers Job closeout packages Prepare and review red-lined as-built drawings. Evaluate operational processes including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, warehousing, reporting, and invoicing. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness. Technical Oversight Provide advanced technical guidance and troubleshooting support. Resolve escalated field issues and project challenges. Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and installation standards. Ideal Candidate Profile A successful Superintendent will be: An experienced operations and project leader. Skilled in managing large teams and multiple projects simultaneously. Financially focused with strong budget and cost-control experience. Highly knowledgeable in telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, or related construction environments. Physical and Mental Requirements:

Regular attendance is mandatory The General Superintendent must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and convey an appropriate professional image. The General Superintendent must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. The General Superintendent must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). The General Superintendent must also have excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop branch and job processes and best practices. The General Superintendent must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements. The General Superintendent must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. The General Superintendent must possess the ability to learn and teach the Company and customer project management systems. The General Superintendent must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk very large job sites regularly. The General Superintendent must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Prefer a minimum of five (5) years' experience of supervisory or managerial experience. The General Superintendent must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position. The General Superintendent must also have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field. Must be proficient with a computer and be skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. The General Superintendent Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, create an estimate, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to final completion and customer turnover. Must be able to use the following trade Tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester and 5-gang punch tool.
