We are looking for a talented Systems/Network Engineer to join our team with expertise in Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Ubiquiti, Azure, and Remote Desktop Services. This is an onsite position working at either of the following locations: Kingsford, MI or Iron River, MI or Rhinelander, WI with the possibility to be a hybrid position.

The Systems/Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of the company's enterprise network. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues and capturing comprehensive documentation on all matters - from solution design to root cause analysis. To ensure success as a network engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks as well as advanced organizational and project management skills - the ability to independently drive projects from conception through completion.

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Provide technical expertise in analysis and resolution of issues to maximize system availability and meet both internal and contractual Service Levels
  • Provide technical oversight for evaluation, planning, analysis, development, and implementation of network infrastructure (LAN and WAN), including providing roadmaps, processes, and procedures for both project work and general organization
  • Configure and maintain Windows servers in physical and virtual environments
  • Maintain and support IT applications and licensing in both cloud and on-premises environments
  • Maintain knowledge of technologies, including new technology developments
  • Develop project and/or implementation plans for site go-lives or deployment of new technologies
  • Implement changes adhering to change management processes and best practices
  • Lead incident response and management efforts in collaboration with compliance and security resources
  • Proactively manage vulnerabilities in collaboration with compliance and security resources
  • Implement tools and processes for compliance checks
  • Interface with appropriate technology vendors during product vetting, installation, and in resolution of any problems
  • Maintain and enhance organizational security posture by following security requirements as specified by the organization
  • Mentor and support other team members as required to service the business
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience with the following:
  • Networking - firewalls, routers, switches, and WiFi
  • Azure (Endpoint Manager & Intune management) --- Highly desirable
  • Microsoft - Office 365, Azure AD (Enterprise and Mobility), on-premises AD
  • Virtualization - VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Expertise in Azure Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Domain Services
  • Azure networking
  • Expertise in cybersecurity best practices and solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift to 25 pounds.
