Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in organizational development, change management, or talent development
  • 2+ years of experience leading large scale system implementations
  • Certification in Change Management (e.g. Prosci) and/or Organizational Development


Position Summary
The Organizational Development and Change Management Consultant, within the Division of University Human Resources ( UHR) for the University of Georgia, structures and implements organizational development and change management strategies, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and partners across functional areas to ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working. As part of the Learning and Development department within UHR, this role plays a key role in aligning people, processes, and technology to enhance organizational effectiveness and long-term capabilities.
This senior role serves as an internal consultant for university leaders, departments, and HR partners to improve organizational effectiveness through change management, team development, leadership support, workforce education, and organizational assessment, with an initial focus on the implementation of a new Unified Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP) system. In partnership with UHR units and campus partners, this role supports successful ERP adoption by developing strategies for change, educating stakeholders, and aligning the workforce with new digital workflows and capabilities. This role focuses on minimizing resistance to change as well as developing training and implementation strategies to ensure the new technology improves overall efficiency.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational complexity

  • Lead, in collaboration with change management, efforts related to ERP implementation, including stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies
  • Develop and execute change management plans aligned with ERP project milestones
  • Conduct change impact analyses and organizational readiness assessments
  • Partner with the UGA ERP Change Management team and functional workstreams to align change and communication strategies
  • Support development of change networks, champions, or ambassador programs across the institution
  • Design reinforcement strategies to sustain adoption post-implementation

  • Conduct assessments to identify organizational effectiveness gaps, behaviors, readiness, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop comprehensive organizational development plans aligned with institutional and HR strategy

  • Facilitate workshops and sessions focused on organizational effectiveness, team performance, and change readiness

  • Serve as a consultant to campus leaders and stakeholders to navigate organizational change

  • Research and apply best practices in organizational development and change management
