Who We Are Looking For

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, Global Construction Services and based in Addison, IL, the Manager, Human Resources - Global Construction Services is responsible for delivering full-cycle HR support across the business, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and leadership coaching.

This role operates within a construction- and project-driven environment where workforce decisions are directly tied to project execution, customer demand, and revenue delivery. The HR Manager must partner effectively with both field-based construction leadership and commercial/sales-facing stakeholders to support workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

The role is responsible for developing and administering HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency with corporate standards and compliance requirements, and delivering HR solutions that enable business performance.

The ideal candidate is a business-minded, hands-on HR professional with strong execution capability and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, project-based environment. This individual will have a demonstrated ability to influence leaders, drive HR initiatives, and deliver measurable business impact.

Experience supporting construction, field operations, or project-based business models is strongly preferred. Exposure to sales-driven environments, customer-facing execution teams, or revenue-linked workforce planning is highly valued given the nature of Global Construction Services.

Required qualifications include:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines
  • Strong employee relations, coaching, and organizational effectiveness experience



Preferred qualifications include:



  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, project-based, or service delivery environments
  • Exposure to sales organizations or revenue-driven operating models
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or business system-driven organizations
  • Multilingual capability is a plus



What You'll Do



  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to business leaders, providing data-driven insights and HR solutions that improve organizational performance
  • Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, corrective action, and compliance hotline cases
  • Drive talent acquisition activities for salaried roles, including recruiting strategy, selection, and onboarding
  • Coach and support leaders in performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and corporate policies (EEO, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Lead execution of annual HR processes, including merit, performance management, and organizational reviews
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes and programs
  • Leverage HR metrics and analytics to identify trends and support workforce decision-making
  • Support broader HR initiatives across Atkore as needed


What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience in the services or construction industry.
  • Labor relations experience preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills with ability to analyze information and create reports.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Ability to confidently engage with business leaders, demonstrating ease in respectfully challenging perspectives when necessary to achieve optimal solutions for organizational success.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, enforce all standard work, established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a high workload and multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining accuracy and high-quality results in a timely manner.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Develop understanding of business strategy, organizational structure, and HR priorities
  • Build foundational knowledge of HR processes and systems


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Establish strong relationships with business leaders and employees
  • Independently lead recruiting and HR support for assigned groups
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience
  • Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Fully own HR support for assigned business areas
  • Lead talent, engagement, and performance strategies in partnership with leadership
  • Provide effective coaching on succession planning, performance, and organizational development
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in HRBP practices within Global Construction Services

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $99,040 - $136,180. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
