Warehouse Supervisor DIVISION: Agronomy REPORTS TO: Mark Harmon STATUS: Full time, non-exempt Wage range: $25.00-$30.00 with weekly production bonuses available PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Assist Location Manager in coordination of operations and control activities within the location in a profitable manner. Under the direction of the Location Manager train, organize and direct employees in a fashion, which will generate and increase profitable sales and adequate levels of service. Cooperate with other supervisory personnel to ensure overall company growth. Leads and assists in the efficient bagging of turf materials in a safe manner. Schedules and performs equipment repairs in response to requests from location manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain and facilitate repair of facility infrastructure. Assist the Location Manager in dispatching of products and services. Monitor and control location expenses. Maintain inventory levels within guidelines. Maintain a current inventory in salable conditions. Control inventory shrinkage. Leads bagging line team in a safe and effective management of all production processes. Subject matter expert in the utilization and implementation of all plant equipment, materials, and products. Collecting merchandise from bagging area and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay. Receiving and documenting material for delivery or return. Managing all materials and merchandise with appropriate care. Understand and utilize automated bagging systems and related robotics. Schedules maintenance and repairs of equipment as requested. Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance. Maintains service records of each piece of equipment to document a quality maintenance program. Responsible for housekeeping of the work area. Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be adhered to at all times. All other duties as assigned. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS May be required to provide backup to drivers in the Energy and Crops Departments. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience. Required skills may include fabrication, cutting, welding and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Normally requires an acceptable CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements. Frequently exposed or required to:
