School of Nursing Job Description
JOB SUMMARY Provides advanced academic advising and student support services for students in the College of Nursing. Supports student success, retention, and graduation by guiding students through academic planning, degree requirements, and progression standards. Monitors academic performance, interprets policies, and partners with faculty and campus offices to address student needs. Serves as a key liaison and student advocate while contributing to recruitment, orientation, and program development efforts. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Academic Advising & Student Development - 40%
Academic Progress Monitoring & Intervention - 20%
Student Support & Resource Coordination - 15%
Academic Administration & Records Management - 10%
Collaboration, Outreach, & Recruitment - 10%
Technology Utilization & Operational Support - 5%
As with all positions, may perform other job-related responsibilities as needed to support departmental and campus-wide needs. CORE COMPETENCIES
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is primarily performed in an office and advising environment with regular interaction with students, faculty, and staff. The role requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and occasional movement across campus. The position involves sustained cognitive engagement, data analysis, and managing a complex student caseload. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. Shift

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
$50,367 - $61,173 Grade: GGS-009 Application Materials
