Job Description

The communications professional responsible for Employee Engagement and Social Impact Communications for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), based in Miami, is responsible for employee engagement strategies to support the LAC and Miami-based Visa community. This professional also supports internal and external communications around Visa's Social Impact programs for the LAC region. As a key member of the LAC Corporate Communications team, this individual is responsible for advancing and enhancing the employee experience, and an inclusive and diverse culture that ultimately leads to business success. The individual will design, develop, and deliver employee communications strategies with focus on engagement and culture; internal and external communications plans, and programs and initiatives in partnership with senior leadership, business partners, and key stakeholders across the organization.

The successful candidate thinks strategically and possesses a strong ability to conceptualize, develop, and manage communications plans. This professional must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate individual resourcefulness and a drive to get things done with a collaborative, positive, 'make it happen' approach. The role will be able to flex across a variety of communications and engagement disciplines with a focus on content development, writing and editing, design and communications asset development, engagement tactics and event execution, and project management. Moreover, this individual is curious and enjoys taking on new projects and collaborating with the rest of the team, as well as the global corporate communications team and the different functions of the organization.

Employee Communications & Engagement (70%)

  • Identify employee engagement opportunities in alignment with business priorities, global initiatives, best practices, recommended cadence of internal events and communications.
  • Plan, create and execute internal events, including informational sessions, business alignment meetings, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage the employee engagement event calendar in alignment with the overall employee communications calendar.
  • Provide counsel to business partners and employee resources groups to communicate their business strategy, activities and cultural values.
  • Develop and manage distribution of internal communications pieces for Miami-based employees and regional LAC audiences, including written and multimedia communications, across multiple channels.
  • Work with the broader team to source story ideas, content and engagement opportunities that support overall employee communications strategies and KPIs.
  • Program management, including communications and engagement plan management, measurement to track results and progress against stated objectives.
  • Develop, analyze and evaluate the impact, resource requirements and cost/benefit of new programs and initiatives.

Corporate Reputation with focus on Social Impact (30%)

  • Collaborate and partner with the Social Impact team at a regional and global level to develop internal and external communications plans for Social Impact regional announcements and initiatives.
  • Develop, adapt and leverage regional and global materials in diverse internal and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with a network of community and volunteering leaders to amplify our community and volunteering programs, inspiring employees to create social impact.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • High level of knowledge in all communications functions, in particular employee communications and engagement, reputation management, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Strong experience in project management from planning to execution.
  • General knowledge of payments technology industry or related global industry.
  • Strong experience in employee communications, project management and content development.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Latin American and Caribbean cultures and languages.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and support cross-functional project teams
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Positive attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills; proven team player.
  • Flexibility to perform diverse tasks outside scope of work when projects or business goals require it.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $109,800.00 to $ 175,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
