Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour | Shift: Monday-Thursday 6 AM-2:30 PM + Friday 5 AM-1:30 PM

Staffmark is hiring a Mechanical Assembler/Soldering to build and inspect complex components while supporting high-quality production processes. If you have strong mechanical skills, experience using hand tools, and the ability to read technical drawings, this could be a great opportunity to grow your career.


Mechanical Assembler/Soldering Education & Certification Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical diploma, trade school certification, or related training preferred.



Mechanical Assembler/Soldering Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, medical devices, or similar industries preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and bills of material (BOMs).
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and measurement techniques.
  • Experience with torque procedures, precision alignment, and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including ERP systems or digital work instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and support team production goals.


Mechanical Assembler/Soldering Job Duties

  • Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Follow technical drawings, manufacturing instructions, and BOM requirements.
  • Perform functional and quality checks on completed assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and assist with corrective actions.
  • Operate equipment used for adhesive application and precision assembly processes.
  • Set up and operate laser welding equipment according to specifications.
  • Assist with production line preparation and workflow needs.
  • Maintain accurate assembly records and production documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and clean workstation standards.
  • Support the training of team members on assembly processes and techniques.
  • Assist with production cell operations as needed.



Mechanical Assembler/Soldering Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform hands-on assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision equipment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions requiring hand dexterity and accuracy.
  • Ability to visually inspect components and assemblies for quality.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following safety requirements.
